Utah Tech University Student Account Login
To claim your Utah Tech University account you must first go to the link below and set up a secure password. You will use your digital-id as your username, select Forgotten Password, and then follow the prompts to set your secure password. Once you have completed this step you will be able to log into your Utah Tech University accounts using your digital-id and new password.
MyUT: Registration, Bill Pay, and Student Records
Go to the University’s website at utahtech.edu in the upper right corner of the University’s webpage (utahtech.edu), you should select MYUT (upper right-hand corner, labeled in red). Then select LOG IN TO MYUT or click the link below. Once you login, you will be able to access student records, registration, review and pay your student bill .
Student Email
Utah Tech University offers one email account for each current student. It is important that you check your Student Email account often. Important information regarding tuition, classes, and your schedule will be emailed to this account. If you do not check your university email often, email forwarding is also available. This allows you to forward your email messages to another email account. Go to the University’s website at utahtech.edu in the upper right corner of the University’s webpage (utahtech.edu), you should select MYUT (upper right-hand corner, labeled in red). Then select outlook or click the link below.
CANVAS (Coursework)
Canvas is the web-based learning management system (LMS) of Utah Tech University. It is used by faculty and students to access and manage online course learning materials and communicate about enrolled courses. It is in Canvas that you can discover which textbooks are assigned to your course. Often your faculty member will communicate messages to students through Canvas. Because of this, it is important to regularly access Canvas. Once you are registered for classes, login to canvas by going to the University’s website at utahtech.edu. In the upper right corner of the University’s webpage (utahtech.edu), you should select MYUT (upper right-hand corner, labeled in red). Then select LOG IN TO CANVAS or select link below. Prior Learning Credit
Utah Tech University (UT) recognizes that learners in higher education come from varied backgrounds with a wide variety of life experiences that might qualify for college course credit. At UT, our students have multiple pathways toward receiving credit for prior learning. For more information and the application process click the link below.
ID Cards and Textbooks
Your digital-id Card is required if you are to use the UT Testing Center for any of your classes. Also, the card allows for student admission to activities and athletics on campus. It may also provide discounts at the bookstore. You may receive your ID card and textbook information at the Campus Store, which is on the 2nd Floor of the Gardner Center. The phone number of the ID card office is 435-652-7644. The hours of the bookstore are: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM.
Financial Aid
To determine if you are eligible for federal financial aid such as grants, loans, or work-study submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at http://fafsa.ed.gov.
Federal Student Aid assigns a federal School Code to each college/university. Utah Tech’s Federal School Code is 003671.
Parking Permits
To park on campus, you will need a parking permit. Detailed information is found at the below link. Through this website, you can purchase a parking permit and view a parking map. If you do decide to purchase a permit online, you will need to go to the Cashier’s Office in Holland Centennial Commons, First Floor, to pick-up the permit (please bring your Student ID Card to identify yourself). If you choose to purchase the permit in person at the Cashier’s Office, they only accept checks or cash.
Library/Tutoring

Career Services
The Career Acceleration Program is a new program sponsored by Career Services. It is designed for students to gain career readiness skills while attending Utah Tech University. It includes how to apply for a job, interview for a job, and gain valuable skills to keep a job! This program is FREE for all students. It requires enrolling in a Canvas course.
Human Performance Center
The Human Performance Center (HPC) provides physical exercise facilities for students.
